1. In Turkmenistan a woman ranks worthy place in different spheres of country activity – in public authority and administration mechanism, local executive authority and local government, economics, science, literature and art. Women have a leading hand in public health and education.

2. There arent any formal quotas for women election in Turkmenistan. From the very beginning of the election campaign women actively participate in it. Reality of women participations possibility in country politics is confirmed by the next facts: women – deputies of Turkmenistan Parliament are 26 % (according to the world standard its high index), halk vekilleri agents – 7%, gengeshi – 14%. There are a lot of women among administrative managers: ministers, a woman represents the country in UN and etc.

3. According to the official information a part of women engaged in office and management activity in Turkmenistan is 17%. Its very high percentage of women involvement as permanent and seasonal workers for fulfillment of unskilled and hard physical works. At present time the category of professionals is not generally presented by women. (Percentage of women – farmers is very low and has the category other in statistical report).

4. Women in agriculture form the manufacture base of food, supply, and family income. They are worried about questions connected with health, education, employment. In disadvantaged families a woman spends much time (about 70%) in reproductive sphere (childbirth, children education, children and house care). In many cases womens work is unnoticed and small paid. 5. This information is testified that its necessary to make conditions for womens potential realization in order that they can participate in decision of important problems on governmental level as equal partners.

6. At present time the advance of gender approach under development, realization and analyses of projects is generally made according to the initiative of the organization – donors.

7. If there are common views about gender theme in specialists environment of the high and middle links which were received in general at the cost of participation in international seminars, but the low link and the wide public in real life is rather far in their views of understanding of gender approach importance in total and in water resources control particularly.

8. In spite of being kept informed about gender approach, in Turkmenistan not many specialists (including people making decisions) share theirs opinions on its importance.
