6. Common Issues Settings Does the Site ID need to be 8 digits ?
YES, the Site ID MUST be 8 digits. The third and fourth digits will be zeros
Does the data logger lose settings when the battery is disconnected?
NO, the settings are saved to memory

Which way should the load cell be installed?
It can be installed either parallel or perpendicular to the base
Does the load cell require locking washers?
NO, it does not

8. Common Issues Error Codes What is a hardware error #4207?
This occurs when the SD card is removed incorrectly after downloading data

9. Common Issues Data Issues The data shows large swings in data?
Check the base itself: flexors, plunger position, calibration, post not touching lower assembly

Check the connections, wires, cables, terminal strip, voltage on the battery, wiring diagram, blockage on the solar panel
Connection at the terminal was loose
Bad battery

Check the oil level
No oil therefore precipitation was evaporating
No oil with the antifreeze therefore moisture was being absorbed from the atmosphere
