FRESH WATER FISH DISCUS ANGELFISH
Angelfish are one of the most commonly kept freshwater aquarium fish. They are prized for their unique shape, color and behavior. Many think angelfish are intelligent fish, able to recognize their owner. Different types of anglefish exist. These live also in the tropics and can grow up to 40cm. DISCUS ANGELFISH Discus are popular aquarium fish and have a disk shaped body. It is this body shape which gave them their name. The skin is often coloured green, red, brown, and blue. The height and length of the grown fish are both about 20–25 cm.

CATS Cats have been associated with humans for at least 9,500 years and are currently the most popular pet in the world. Owing to their close association with humans, cats are now found almost everywhere on Earth. Their adaptability and predatory instincts make them effective hunters.

Like cats, dogs are very popular as pets and have lived and worked with people in so many roles that they have earned the unique nickname “man’s best friend”. Their are many different breeds of dogs. GREYHOUND LABRADOR

HORSES The horse has been around for a very long time. The domestication began 4000 years ago and 1000 years later, domestic horses were very popular. Man uses horses both for work and for sports.

TURTLES Turtles come in all sizes and from all
FLORIDA BOX TURTLE Turtles come in all sizes and from all the corners of the earth. They can grow up to two meters in length and weigh up to 900 Kgs. You can find fresh water and Salt water turtles.

COWS A Hereford Bull A Swiss braunvieh cow Cows are the most common type of large domestic animal after horses. Cows are raised as livestock for meat, as sdairy animals for milk and other dairy products and also for pulling carts and ploughs . Other products include leather.

PONIES The Shetland ponies are found in Scotland. Shetlands range in size from a minimum height of approximately 28 inches to an official maximum height of 42 inches (107 cm). Shetland ponies have heavy coats, short legs and are considered quite intelligent. They are a very strong breed of pony, used for riding, driving, and pack purposes. SHETLAND The Falabella miniature horse is one of the smallest breeds of horse in the world, seldom taller than 78 cm/32 inches in height. The Falabella is a rare breed, with only a few thousand individuals existing worldwide. The Falabella, despite its size, is not considered a pony, but rather is a minature horse. FALABELLA

SHEEP Sheep were the first animals to be
domesticated. They exist in large numbers. They come in different species and produce milk, wool and other dairy products.

PIGS The pig was domesticated a long time
ago from the wild boar. The products it gives are meat (pork), bacon and sausages.
