3. OIE PVS Evaluation Methodology
A specific methodology has been developed and the OIE has published the OIE Tool for the Evaluation of Performance of Veterinary Services (OIE PVS Tool) as the basis for evaluating performance against the international standards published in the Terrestrial Code. A similar tool is available for the evaluation of Aquatic Animal Health Services

Overall, the countries eligible for follow-up PVS evaluation mission are determined according to the following criteria: Countries that have had only a PVS evaluation mission and that it is more than 4 years Countries that have had a PVS evaluation mission followed by a Gap Analysis mission but for which the mission Gap is over 4 years (2011 or earlier) The list provided is indicative as the criteria are not golden rules, the OIE will not reject an application of a country because it does not strictly meet these criteria.
