3 Graduation requirements
4 years of English/Lit (2 must be Ninth Lit and American Lit) 4 years of Math (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and 4th math) 4 years of Science (Biology, P-science, Earth or Env or Chem, and 4th Science) 3 years of Social Studies (World History, US History, Gov/Econ) Health and Personal Fitness 3 Career Tech, Fine Art, or Foreign Language credits. (Foreign Language is not required for graduation, but is necessary to apply to a Georgia, public, 4-year university) 4 other electives (this is any class that is not a graduation requirement, for example: World Geography, AP Psych, Team Sports)

4 Senior year schedule Classes are selected based on teacher recommendation and grades in prerequisite courses 4th Literature class (Brit lit, Advanced Comp, Hon Adv Comp, AP Lit) 4th Math (Math of Finance, Foundations, College readiness, AMDM, Stats, (honors)Pre-cal, Calc, AP Calc) 4th Science Government and Economics (AP Gov, AP Micro Econ, and/or AP Macro Econ) 2 electives You may also do Dual Enrollment(Ms. Cuomo) or Work Based Learning (Ms. McCardle) Please sign the form and I will collect them (counselors will mail them home)

What test do you need? (ACT, SAT, with or without writing, Accuplacer) Schedule a campus visit (Most Spring visits are geared toward Juniors) The BEST source of info is the COLLEGE WEBSITE

8 College Applications Most college applications are online
YOU Send your transcript through parchment.com If you have not set up an account yet, you got your code. TAKE A PICTURE OF IT NOW. This paper will tell you how to set up your account, you may view an unofficial and send an official transcript from this site. If you did not get a code, and think you have not set your account up yet, stop by the counseling office and see Ms. Wemmer YOU send your official test scores through the testing website (may send 4 for free when you register for the test) SENIOR PROFILE If you need a letter of recommendation, we need your senior profile.

9 Scholarships You should be researching scholarships now.
You can sign up for free websites (fastweb.com) or download a scholarship app (scholly, fastweb) Check out our website and other counseling websites Follow the counseling office on twitter and Facebook (Cherokee High School Counseling) Check with your Parent’s Employer Listen to morning announcements. Never pay for a scholarship
