2. You will be analyzing Propaganda from World War I, using the “Propaganda Objectives and Tools” Handout
On your chart, you are to identify the objective of each poster and the propaganda tools used in the poster (HINT: consider which country the poster is from, that will help you understand it!)

Objective: eliminate dissent and unify Americans behind the war effort
Propaganda tools: demonization, emotional appeals, patriotic appeals, half-truths or lies, and evocative visual symbols
