LESSONS LEARNT
CE certificate from a notified body. Proheat used Royal Sun Alliance (RSA). This demonstrates design checks have been carried out and the unit is safe for operating at the design pressures with the materials used
Carrying out a separate G17 approval for the preheater itself is meaningless (design approval and appraisal covers all aspects of the site construction).
2 Stage burner head. Re-designed as a result of problems following commissioning at Little Burdon. 16 – 18 October 2017, 50%-50% burner head replaced 70% (stage 1) – 30% (stage 2) burner head.
Commissioning. Site time, 76 man days of Proheat staff time. (Completed initially by Dec ).
