Anatomy of an ADDE Command
COMMAND group/descriptor.position {additional positional parameters} {keyword parameters} List (IMGLIST, GRDLIST, PTLIST) Display (IMGDISP,GRDDISP,PTDISP) Copy (IMGCOPY,GRDCOPY,PTCOPY) Group name and descriptor of the dataset as defined by the server; EAST/CONUS Use DSSERVE command to create dataset information Group names are assigned to a server workstation IP address using the DATALOC command; DATALOC ADD EAST EAST.SSEC.WISC.EDU Position number locates a file within the dataset. Positions can be either absolute or time based. Position 0 (zero) is considered the most recent file in the dataset. Position -1 is the next oldest file in the dataset Each file within the dataset can be accessed by using either absolute or time based position numbers. Time relative Absolute Time position number position number 15: 14: 13: 12: When more than one image satisfies a position number, we add additional sort conditions to specify the exact image.
