You cannot install a patch if the base solution does not exist
Each additional patch must have a higher version number
Patch must be installed in order

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Package Deployer lets administrators deploy packages to Microsoft Dynamics CRM instances.
A “package” can consist of any or all of the following:
One or more CRM solution files.
Flat files or exported data files from the Configuration Migration tool.
Custom code that can run before, while, or after the package is deployed to the CRM instance.
HTML content specific to the package that can display at the beginning and end of the deployment process. This can be useful to provide a description of the solutions and files that are deployed in the package.

19. Package Deployer Setup:
Install the template into Visual Studio using the CRMSDKTemplates.vsix file from latest CRM SDK
Create a CRMPackage project from the installed template in Visual Studio
Customise the end and welcome HTML to display what you want
Customise the ImportConfig.xml
Customise PackageTemplate.cs to add any custom code you want to run as part of the deployment
