Survival in our Universe!
2
Home, Sweet, Home What do you really know about the Earth and what it provides you? It is a ball of stone and metal covered with water, rocks, and dirt. It has a fluid core of iron. 70% of it is covered with water. It has an atmosphere of 80% N , 20% O, and small amounts of argon, CO2, and water vapor.

Stranded at 30 degrees latitude, 20 degrees longitude….
You crash-land 300 miles from the rendezvous point, you and your crew survive but only 16 items are left intact. You can only take 10 with you-which are most important and why?

Stranded! You are in a spacecraft traveling to rendezvous with your mother ship on the light side of the moon! You crash-land 300 miles from the rendezvous point, you and your crew survive but only 16 items are left intact. You can only take 10 with you-which are most important and why?

How does the Earth’s gravity and the moon’s gravity AND the Sun’s gravity, compare to the gravitational force of other planets?
8
Can you find your “Center of Gravity?”
If everything were weightless, balance would be no problem. In order to balance, objects must be in danger of falling; in order to fall, there must be gravity to give them weight! On the moon, an object will have the same mass, but a different weight. It’s gravity is 1/6 that of Earth. Would it be easier to balance an object there?
