When class begins we will go over some procedures and policies for my classroom and answer any questions that you may have.

6 Labs and Activities Follow directions No horseplay
If directions are not followed you will lose lab privileges and you will be given alternate assignments for the rest of the school year or until you have demonstrated willingness to follow procedures. Labs and Activities

7 Homework Science HW will be given occasionally
All work must be neat and complete Zero tolerance for zeroes (all students will complete all assignments) Homework

8 Grades Percentage Letter Grade 100-93.5 A 93.4-89.5 A- 89.4-86.5 B+
B B- C+ C C- D+ D D- 59.4 or below E Grades

9 Zero Tolerance for Zeroes
Zero tolerance for zeroes means that every student will complete every assignment. If you have missing work you will be required to come to my room during lunch and have a “working lunch” where you will eat and work on the assignment(s). This will be required until all missing work is turned in. Zero Tolerance for Zeroes

10 Students in Mrs. Wisniewski’s science class can rework any assignment that they score less than an 80 on. I’ve chosen an 80 as the cutoff point because it represents an average level of content mastery. Any student that reworks an assignment can only earn up to an 80 on the task that they are reworking. That means even if you score higher than an 80 on the reworked assignment, an 80 will be added to your average. Limiting reworked scores to an 80 ensures that students who put extra effort into preparing before an assignment is graded are not penalized for scoring higher than an 80—and losing out on the chance to rework a task. It also gives students some additional incentives—and rewards for—studying, paying attention in class, and being prepared the first time that an assignment is given. Reworks

11 Absent/Missing Papers
When you are absent or if you lose paperwork there will be a crate in the room that has the days of the week and the hand outs given that day. It is your responsibility to get missing materials and notes. Absent/Missing Papers
