Methodology Base year Data Short term Indicators
Methodologies Base year Data Short term Indicators Quarterly data is Extrapolated from the Base year using the indicators Quarterly data are benchmarked so that the sum of the quarters is the annual value. Excel, ERETES
10
The last annual estimate should match the sum of the quarters.
Benchmarking Methodologies The last annual estimate should match the sum of the quarters. bg= New benchmark value/ Estimate for the same benchmark year Distribute that percentage difference to the quarters.
11
Assessment and Checking
Use Indicators that best captures and represent the target variable. Make assumptions and review them regularly. Comparison between the ratio of the ANA estimates to the sum of the quarterly indicators (benchmark- Indicator ratio). A stable BI ratio shows that the indicator represents the movements well. Changes in the ratio may point to problems and help identifying ways to improve.

Timeliness Dissemination

Value Added and STI for Construction
14
Timeliness of Data sources
Dissemination Labor force Survey- 45th day after the end of the quarter. CPI- 14th day after the end of the month. Administrative records MOF- 30th day after the end of the month. Financial Indicators- 30th day after the end of the month. Industrial Production Index- 35th day after the end of the month. Balance of Payments- 75th day after the end of the quarter.
