10 Prep Read pages in your textbook and then answer the following questions: 1. Explain why women living in developing places are more likely to have lower levels of wellbeing than their male counterparts and how this compares to women living in more economically developed countries. 2. Think about and discuss ways in which being male may result in less wellbeing. 3. To what extent is their an interconnection between poverty and maternal mortality? 4. Suggest measures that could be introduced by the Indian government to help Indian parents see the value of female babies equally with that of boys.
