2 Reminders: If you are absent on a day where something is due, you have some options: You MUST send the assignment with a buddy; or You MUST me the assignment (if it’s digital); or You MUST send photos of your work through The NEXT DAY (not our next class period), you will bring me the actual physical assignment If you do not adhere to these expectations, you will see a grade deduction, according to the AP English late work policy.

6 AP LIT “Once upon a Theme” The meaning of some literary works is often enhanced by sustained allusion to myths, the Bible, or other works of literature.  Refer to your understanding of “Once upon a Time.”  Then write a well-organized essay in which you explain the allusion that predominates the work and analyze how it enhances the work’s meaning. The most important themes in literature are sometimes developed in scenes in which a death or deaths take place. Consider “Once upon a Time,” and write a well-organized essay in which you show how a specific death scene helps to illuminate the meaning of the work as a whole. Avoid mere plot summary. 1A: Give 10 extra minutes next class for writing. 2B/3B: Give 10 extra minutes next class for writing. Pull in discussion and theme/evidence.
