2. Learning Outcome #1: Participants will be able to connect the areas of the CLDE Emergent Theory (civic ethos, civic literacy and skill building, civic inquiry, civic action, and civic agency) thread with a practical campus application.
Learning Outcome #2: Participants will be able to understand the challenges of moving from theory to application with regards to civic learning and democratic engagement work.
Learning Outcome #3: Participants will be able to discuss opportunities and challenges of designing institutional initiatives about civic learning and democratic engagement.

3. NASPA's Lead Initiative on Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement (Lead Initiative) is committed to encouraging and highlighting the work of student affairs in making civic learning and democratic engagement a part of every student's college education.
