1 Refworks Part 2 Using Write-N-Cite

2 Login to the new version of Refworks

3 Click on More and select Tools to download Write-n-Cite

4 Scroll down to “Cite in Microsoft Word” and Download and Install the correct version of the Plugin. All Word documents should be closed before installation

8 After installation, open up Word - a RefWorks tab should appear in your Word document

9 1. Click on the Refworks tab
2. A Refworks toolbar will appear at the top. Click on Log In

11 Once you have Logged In, the Refworks menu bar will be active

12 Use Sync My Database to update recently added references

13 Select a reference style

14 Put your cursor in the text where you want to insert a reference
Put your cursor in the text where you want to insert a reference. Go to “Insert Citation” and “Insert New”

15 Select Citation OK

16 In text citation inserted

17 Bibliography options Insert bibliography

18 Bibliography created according to selected reference style
