the Mediterranean Agronomic Institutes The Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, Greece, established in 1985, is a constituent Institute of the International Centre of Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies - CIHEAM. Other Institutes: The Mediterranean Agronomic Institutes at Bari (Italy), Montpellier (France) and Zaragoza (Spain) CIHEAM country members: Albania, Algeria, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey.EU Classification: International Organization of European Interest.

MAICh and its activities have created a significant comparable to capacity building in the Mediterranean Basin and the Balkans countries and contributes to their economic development through the realisation of M.Sc. Academic education, common research and developmental programmes.
