Parallelism helps to present ideas concisely while giving attention to their relationships.

Examples:

Pair of correlative ideas that are linked with correlative conjunctions: both...and, either...or, neither...nor, and not only...but also.
Examples
I am not only a fan, but also a player of the game of football.
I am not only the best at writing, but also speaking

6. Remember to put correlative conjunctions right before you write the parallel terms:
CORRECT: Steve has witnessed both fire and rain.
