View your finances and forecast funds Update the status of your apprentices or recruit new ones Some of these functions shown may not be available when you first register and will become available at a later date.

The manage your team function allows you to manage the users that you have set up. You will be able to invite other colleagues to access your account and manage individual user privileges.

Add an apprentice enables you to add one, or a larger cohort of apprentices to your digital account.
This section of the service creates a link between the account and training provider, and ensures the training provider gets paid. Before you start to add an apprentice, you must know the organisation that the apprentices will be employed by, this also needs to be the PAYE scheme that the apprentice is paid through the UK Provider Reference Number, this will be used to identify your training provider later in the process You are given the option to add apprentice information yourself, or allow the training provider to do this on your behalf. The majority of employers will allow their training provider to add their apprentices. Training providers will add key information such as the apprentice Unique Learner Number. You do have the option to add you own apprentices’ data, however, this cannot be finalised without the Unique Learner Number. It is therefore advised that you ask training providers to add this information.

From research we have conducted, employers said that having the ability to view a transaction statement of their account was a high priority. View your transactions provides employers with a breakdown of their incomes and expenditures in their digital account. Below there is a transaction statement, similar to a bank statement that details the credits and debits on the account. The system shows a date for each transaction, gives a description of the debit or credit and the running balance. At the bottom of the screen you can see that there was a balance of £4,897 on 08 July 2018. On 10 July we have a levy payment of £704 and the 10% top up of £70, leaving a total of £5,671. A payment of £379 to Hackney Skills and Training Ltd was made on the 15 July 2018, leaving a balance of £5,292. You can follow the credits and debits until you arrive at the current total, as at 20 August 2018, which is £5,340 If you click on view you will be able to get further information on each transaction. Apprenticeship funding bands
Number Band limit 1 £1,500 2 £2,000 3 £2,500 4 £3,000 5 £3,500 6 £4,000 7 £5,000 8 £6,000 9 £9,000 10 £12,000 11 £15,000 12 £18,000 13 £21,000 14 £24,000 15 £27,000 Every apprenticeship will be placed in a funding band. You and your main provider must agree a price for the total cost of each apprenticeship, including the training costs and any subcontracted training. Funding bands set limits on the maximum amount of government funds that can be used for a single apprenticeship. This supports high quality training, whilst ensuring apprenticeships are affordable for individual employers and deliver value for taxpayers. All existing and new apprenticeship frameworks and standards will be placed within one of these funding bands. This will depend on the level and type of apprenticeship. The upper limit of each funding band will cap the maximum amount of funding that can be used towards an individual apprenticeship . If an employer wants to spend more than the funding band limit they are free to do so, but they will have to fund this themselves. The price for apprenticeship standards must include the cost of the end-point assessment which you must agree with the apprentice assessment organisation. The negotiated price of apprenticeship frameworks will include on-programme assessment.

Spend funds in your apprenticeship service account
There are 2 different types of apprenticeships to choose from: Apprenticeship standards - each standard covers a specific occupation and sets out the core skills, knowledge and behaviours an apprentice will need; they are developed by employer groups known as ‘trailblazers’ Apprenticeship frameworks - a series of work-related vocational and professional qualifications, with workplace- and classroom-based training From research we have conducted, employers said that having the ability to view a transaction statement of their account was a high priority. View your transactions provides employers with a breakdown of their incomes and expenditures in their digital account. Share funds with another employer
From May 2018, we plan to allow levy-paying employers to transfer funds to other employers, through the apprenticeship service. Transfers can be made to any employer, including smaller employers in their supply chain, and apprenticeship training agencies. Levy-paying employers will be able to transfer up to 10% of the annual value of funds entering their apprenticeship service account. Levy-paying employers who wish to transfer funds will have to agree the individual apprenticeships that will be funded by a transfer with the employer receiving the funds.
