Don’t look at any penny you may have with you.
Draw two circles using the CD’s.
In 5 minutes, draw all the details you can remember on both the front and back of a penny.

8. Casual Observation Turn over your paper and put down your pencil.
Look at the penny for 1-2 minutes.
Without looking at the penny make any changes to your drawings you may have observed.

9. Scientific Observation
Turn over your paper and put down your pencil again.
Use the hand lens to observe your penny for 1-2 minutes.
Without looking at the penny, make any new changes you have observed.
