Distribution of emergency shelter kits (tarps, repair kits, and non-food items) worth USD26 Distribution of shelter repair kits (CGI roofing sheets, fixings, tools and cash) plus cash (USD258); top-up cash assistance (USD135) Technical assistance and training on building back safer

7 LIVELIHOODS STRATEGY Household-Level Livelihoods:
Households receive total USD181 (PhP8,000) in two installments Livelihood types: agriculture, fisheries and aquatic, livestock, manufacturing and processing, etc. Activities: Beneficiary targeting using an economic and vulnerability selection tool and formation of barangay selection committee Livelihoods planning & money management orientation Provision of cash grant Technical assistance Monitoring

To choose the specification and quality of inputs and avail of discounts To pay for transportation costs of larger items (draft animals and farm equipment) In farming IGAs, to purchase cuttings and plants at their own pace, instead of planting all at once Cash also enabled recipients to interact intensively with markets and support the local economy. 9 LIVELIHOODS STRATEGY COMMUNITY ENTERPRISE FACILITY (CEF)
The CEF provides financial support, training and value chain support to community groups such as women’s organizations and cooperatives to help strengthen the development of local value chains like livestock, rice, root crops and retailing. 10 LIVELIHOODS STRATEGY WOMEN ENTERPRISE FUND (WEF)

WOMEN ENTERPRISE FUND (WEF) CARE has created the WEF to provide financial assistance to women engaged in businesses that have a benefit to their local community. Target: 600 women entrepreneurs Approved: 29 WEFs Amount per entrepreneur: up to USD1,111.00
