3. Locally grown bananas are collected

4. Bananas are peeled and sliced length-ways

5. They are placed on trays and sorted to make sure they are of good quality before being fried

6. Banana chips are lowered into the oil

7. The vegetable oil needs to be very hot!

8. The chips are cooked until they are crispy and slightly browned

9. Sugar is added for taste and they are packed into plastic bags

10. How do you think the plastic bags are sealed?

12. The plastic bags are sealed at the top by using a candle

13. The banana chips are then sold at the HAFOTI shop in Dili or a local market
