Observing and inferring
Observing-When you use one or more of your five senses to gather information about the world. Inferring – When you interpret an observation, you are inferring. An inference is not a fact, it is your “guess” based on an observation.

Inference Conclusions or deductions based on observations. The process of drawing a conclusion from given evidence. Practice: Observations: I hear people screaming I smell cotton candy, popcorn, and hamburgers I see a lot of people Inference = ?
