1 SUPPRESSION OR LIBERATION?
Hijab SUPPRESSION OR LIBERATION?

2 "Why do Muslim women have to wear Hijab and hide their beauty?“
Muslim women observe HIJAB because Allah has commanded them to do so.

3 Allah the almighty says :
"O Prophet, tell your wives and daughters and the believing women to draw their outer garments around them (when they go out or are among men). That is better in order that they may be known (to be Muslims) and not annoyed..."

4 So from the verse we understand that :
Hijab is an obligation order from Allah to the Muslim women , and when Allah and His messenger Muhammad (Pbuh) says we as a Muslim can not do anything except we hear and we obey because we surely know that there is a wisdom behind it .

5 "Ayshah reported that Asma' the daughter of Abu Bakr came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while wearing thin clothing. He approached her and said: 'O Asma'! When a girl reaches the menstrual age, it is not proper that anything should remain exposed except this and this. He pointed to the face and hands. " [Abu Dawud]

6 What is Hijab mean ? The word "Hijab" comes from the Arabic word "hajaba" meaning to hide from view or conceal. It is a symbol of modesty ,privacy , and morality of a Muslim woman.

7 The requirements of Hijab is:
It must be Covering all the body. It must be Thick. It must be Loose. It must not be perfumed. It shouldn't resemble the dress of a man. It should not be for fame. It must not resemble the garments of the unbelievers.

8 The Virtues of Hijab : An Act of Honour & Dignity.
An act of Obedience to The Creator. An Act of Honour & Dignity. An act of Belief & Faith. An act of Modesty. An act of Purity. An act of Bashfulness. An act of Righteousness. A Shield.

9 The scientific view toward Hijab:
It protect her from the waves of Ultraviolet rays which causes many diseases. 1-Skin Cancer 2=Hair dryness and looseness . 3-The suppuration in the skin of head , arms and legs .

10 All Muslim women want to say to the whole world be FAIR and evaluate me by my intellect , skills, opinion NOT by my physical appearance anymore.

Brayer’ who said that Jewish women used to covered themselves from head to toes .The proof is in Genesis 24 : When Rebekah saw Isaac in the field to meet them she took her Veil and COVERED her self …!!!! Until nowadays some Jewish women still wear veil , because of “tznius” Modesty . Haredi Jews in Palestine In Yemen

13 Hijab in Christianity :
Virgin Marry mother of Jesus shown veiled in the Christian Art , Nuns covered themselves too and women around Jesus wore veil too Why? the proof in mentioned in Paul’s letter to the Corinthians No 5-6”…if a woman will not veil her self then she should CUT off her hair …”

14 Conclusion : Hijab It is NOT a symbol of oppression.
It is NOT required in non-public places where there are only females and close male relatives. It is NOT a means to restrict a woman’s freedom to express her views and opinion, or to have an education and a career. It is NOT an act of defiance, confrontation or protest to non-Muslims. It is NOT a portable prison.
