IMPERATIVES!! Fill in the blanks about imperatives.
Singular imperatives end in ___________. Plural imperatives end in ____________. ______+_____ = a Singular, Negative Imperative. ______+ _____= a Plural, Negative Imperative. The ______case of nouns is used with imperatives. The __________ends in –re and is translated “_____” verb and is used to form the negative imperative.

FORMING IMPERATIVES Imperatives form using the infinitive/2nd principle part of the verb – find the present stem! INFINITIVES: portāre; docēre; trahere; capiō, capere; audīre 1st conj 2nd conj 3rd conj rd io th conj. Sing. portā docē trahe cape audī Pl. portāte docēte trahite* capite* audīte **3rd conjugations verbs change their stem vowel of an –e to an –i in the plural imperative form**

IRREGULAR IMPERATIVES
“dic, dūc, fac, & fer should have an “e” but it’s not there!!!” The singular imperative of the verbs, “dicere, dūcere, facere, and ferre” (to say, to lead, to make/do, to bring/carry) are formed without vowels and are thus irregular.
