Why an OCLC Meeting? We chose OCLC’s Worldshare Management Services to replace our traditional ILS. We needed to network with OCLC and other libraries implementing the service. This meeting was an opportunity to understand the development and future plans for the services.
4
We chose sessions to attend that:
had direct implications for job responsibilities. addressed work on implementation teams. provided clarification for decisions that we would be making during setup of the services. was a product we were considering implementing. sounded interesting. offered networking opportunities. Everyone tried to attend different sessions to gain the most knowledge for reporting back to library staff.
