100%
50% of the Math grade is determined by homework, student activities, open ended assessments and mini-assessments.
10% of the grade is determined by a six weeks project.
5% of the grade is determined by extra homeworks assigned by the teacher.
25% of the grade is determined by a comprehensive exam.
10% of the grade is determined by an organized binder/journal with notes. If possible, one grade will be dropped each week

7. Binder - Notes
Every student will maintain a complete and orderly binder. Organize your binder as follows:
Cover page. Include your name, course, class period, and teacher’s name.

11. Six Weeks Projects
Every six weeks you will be assigned a project. This project will be worth 10% of your grade. It will be assigned the first week of every six weeks, and will be due the last day of the 5th week of the six weeks.

12. Make-Up Work
It is very important that you be present in class every day. Each day builds on the previous day’s lessons and excessive absences can be detrimental. (Student Handbook p.30)
Every student is responsible to learn what assignments were missed during any absences. All assignments are to be completed within the same number of days one was absent. (Student Handbook p.27)
You will be expected to take any tests at the scheduled time, regardless of your presence in the prior class period. Assume that no new material will be taught the day before the test and come prepared for the test. (Student Handbook p.27)

13. Assignments
Assignments are announced and posted daily. Assignments that are not completed during a class period will be required at the beginning of the next class period. ALL Homework assignments will be turned in at the beginning of the class period on the due date.
Extension for any assignment will be granted only at the teacher’s discretion when there is extended illness or extreme circumstances.

15. You missed a Test
Make-up tests/quizzes will be administered during 3rd and 10th period.
You must make arrangements with your teachers to come in and take any make-ups. You may come in during 1st period to request a pass, and you must also have a pass when you come in to take the test/quiz.

16. You missed the day BEFORE a test:
Be ready to take the schedule Common Assessment during class with everyone else. Common Assessments dates are announced a week in advanced so there is no excuse for not knowing there was a test. I don’t usually teach new material the day before the test day.

17. Tardiness
Be in (as opposed to near) your assigned seat with your binder open ready to work on your spiral activity. Remain in your seat until the teacher dismisses the class. Noncompliance may result in a disciplinary referral.
In the event that another teacher or staff member detains you, a signed excuse note from said person should be brought to me as soon as possible. (Student Handbook p.41)

18. Hall Privileges
You will have adequate time to take care of business between classes. I will allow you to make restroom trips as you feel necessary UNTIL it becomes an abuse. I reserve the right to take away restroom privileges. Hall passes are required to leave the class to use the restroom, water fountain, or to make an emergency visit to the office or nurse.

19. School Wide Rules
School wide rules (Shirt tucked, no eating in class,etc…) are strictly enforced. Violators will receive a first warning; thereafter, a disciplinary referral will be issued. (Student Handbook p.48)

20. Cheating Policy
Anyone who participates in cheating on a test, project or other assignments will receive a zero for that grade. Copying of homework or other assignments will result in both students receiving a zero for the grade.
Occasionally we will review homework assignments in class. In these cases I will pass out colored pens and ask you to clear everything but the color pens and your assignments off of your desk. Once I have instructed you to clear your desk, any writing utensils seen, other than the ones I provided you with, will result in a zero for that assignment.

21. School Rules Be seated with all supplies before the tardy bell rings.
Follow directions carefully and quietly.
Keep hands, feet, and personal things to themselves.
Respect the teacher and all other people in the room.
Use correct, proper, and acceptable language at all times.
Adhere to the required campus dress code.
No eating food, chewing gum, or drinking beverages during class.
