STUDY OBJECTIVE: To conduct focus groups with YMSM in Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles to gain feedback on a mobile app to increase HIV testing Participant characteristics Total N: 33 Eligibility: years, male at birth, HIV- Mean age: 21.8 Race/ethnicity: 36% Hispanic/Latino, 33% Black non-Hispanic, 18% White non-Hispanic, 12% Other

5 Summary of Results Participants found HealthMindr, the current adult-focused app, to have useful functions and information Participants suggested the following changes to make the app more interactive and appealing to youth: Youthful and casual design and user interface Ability to personalize through avatars, etc. Youth-friendly language Additional content, particularly related to trans health Additional interactive features, including incentive systems and HIV testing reminder system using geofencing

6 Key Conclusions Mobile apps are an acceptable way to get sexual health information for YMSM An HIV testing app for YMSM must be youthful, engaging and interactive Further refinement and testing of the MyChoices app to increase HIV testing for YMSM is warranted
