2 The Creative Process Challenging & Inspiring
This portion of your final summative will be worth 15% of your final grade. The written exam portion will be worth the remaining 15% The Challenge for your final summative is to develop a “Photographic” advertisement campaign for an issue of your choice Select an idea, mind set, or value that you think is important to change here at St. David The advertisement must be photographic in nature Think about what needs changing Your campaign must be developed for three different mediums The three mediums to be used are: Photographic Poster ; Television Slide (morning announcements); and Web Banner (school website “Flash” screen) Each of the three advertisements must use a different photographic image Each of the three advertisements must be unique yet blend and harmonize with the other two.

Try to imagine what your poster could look like Generate three quick sketches on paper and scan them onto this slide

Planning and Focusing The Creative Process Briefly describe the issue, problem Whydoes the issue need to be addressed? Describe how you propose to raise awareness of the problem via your promotion Propose three to five Slogans\Hooks\Headlines\Subheadings for your advertisement Conduct and reference research for copy text that will accompany the advertisement Technical Parameters Poster size: 12”X 300 DPI, RGB color space Television :  1024px X 72ppi,  RGB color space Web Banner: 980px X 72 ppi, RGB color space

5 The Creative Process Exploring and Experiment
Take Several screen shots of your poster design as it progresses Include alterations / changes that occur as a result of “Feedback”

6 The Creative Process Producing Preliminary Work
Include photos that you shot while photographing the images for the campaign

7 The Creative Process Revising and Refining
Provide critique notes on feedback from at least two classmates and the instructor

8 The Creative Process Presenting and Performing
Provide a jpeg image for each of your advertisements campaign

9 The Creative Process Reflecting and Evaluating
Provide a full “Feldmen” style critique for your advertisement campaign. Critique all three advertisements as a whole work. Evaluation rubric is provided on the Desire to Learn Class website
