Student Questions for Purposeful Learning
2
The Process The teacher must choose a topic and a state a SQLP Statement for discussion. Divide the students into groups or pairs and have them generate three or four questions that is specifically related to the topic. Once the questions are recorded, have one spokesman from each group read the questions. As the questions are presented, the teacher should record them on the board, in a PowerPoint, etc. When common questions occur, star a previous similar question. Once that is done, the teacher will need to look over and possibly add important questions not listed. Make sure resources are available for the answers needed with research. Discuss the questions and answer them as a class. Students may record questions and answers as they are discussed. See examples in next two slides.
