8. Pre-AP Requirements
Language Arts- Students will have independent reading assignments each grading period and a summer reading assignment. The students work independently and at an accelerated pace.
Texas History- Student guided projects throughout the year.
Organization skills are imperative for success in Pre-AP.

9. Pre-AP/Accelerated Math/Science Requirements
85 or higher for yearly average in Math course preceding year to qualify for Accelerated Math.
85 or higher for yearly average in Science course preceding year to qualify for Accelerated Science.
*Highly Recommended Math and Science courses to be paired.

10. Accelerated Math/Science EXIT
Students may ONLY exit at 1st progress report , end of the marking period, or the end of the semester.

Math
Accelerated Math Compacted curriculum (1 ½ years) to prepare students for Algebra.
Science
Accelerated Science is recommended to be taken with Accelerated Math.
