3. Inhalants are legal. Although inhalants are not regulated under the Controlled Substances Act, thirty-eight states in US restricted sale and distribution of certain products that are commonly used as inhalants.
Some inhalants have depressant effects, some are stimulant.

6. How are they Taken? Sniffing or snorting fumes from containers
Spraying aerosols directly into the nose or mouth
Bagging- sniffing substances sprayed inside a bag
Huffing from an inhalant- soaked rag stuffed in the mouth
Inhaling from balloons filled with nitrous oxide

7. SHORT TERM EFFECTS OF INHALANTS
Some short term effects of inhalants are:
Within minutes the user may experience intoxication
slurred speech
inability of movement
happiness
dizziness
general apathy
drowsiness

8. LONG TERM EFFECTS OF INHALANTS
Some long terms effects of inhalants are:
dissolvement of the protective coating on brain cells, correlated to slow movement
tremors
problems walking and talking
irregular and rapid heart rhythms
heart failure
extreme mood changes and depression
death
can damage the prefrontal cortex, cerebellum and hippocampus

9. INHALANTS IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY
If someone close to you starts inhaling, it can impact your relationship and cause fighting to arise
in 2016, 3.8% of 8th graders were using inhalants per year
in 2014, 33,770 kgs of cocaine was used during the year
