2. What is a run-on / fused sentence?
A fused / run-on sentence is created when clauses that could each stand alone as a sentence are joined with no punctuation or words to link them.

3. How to fix them #1
Fused / run-on sentences… must either be divided into separate sentences or joined by adding words or punctuation. 
Example for Fixing Run-On Sentences: The grocery store was really packed with people there must have been a big sale today.
Correction 1: The grocery store was really packed with people. There must have been a big sale today.
Here, the error has been corrected by simply breaking the run-on sentence into two sentences.
