2 Purpose/Assumptions Service is provided by a variety of agencies, and varies across the region Coordination expands transportation activities through joint actions to realize increased benefits including reduced costs, improved mobility and increased efficiency Study examined a number of entities that could potentially coordinate a range of transportation services

Regional planning, transportation and transit Information and referral networks Private nonprofit and for-profit providers Faith based coalitions Human service networks Local governments Technology based services New entities-agencies, boards, districts, councils

4 Evaluation Criteria-Essential
Eligibility for grants Service area Work rules Work with for-profit providers Coordination of cross-jurisdictional trips Does not require state legislation to establish Direct oversight by political subdivisions and participating agencies

5 Evaluation Criteria-Desirable
Public Image Core function Flexible charter/bylaws Management and administrative support Implementation timeframe

6 Next Steps Work with candidate organization to confirm interest in participating as the regional coordination entity Clarify roles and responsibilities of RRPDC and coordination entity Assist in obtaining funding and other needed supports
