Study leave approvals and payments General information about the teaching programme Hospital and GP Practice posts QA of attendance – must inform office of any absence. More than 2 weeks per academic year will require an extension at the end of training. Any change of circumstance! Any questions or queries…..

Change Forms A ’change’ form must be completed and returned to the GP office if there is any change in circumstance including the following: Contact details Change to contract hours such as LTFT/WTE Change of Practice placement Periods of sickness/absence (any duration) Maternity/Paternity leave Jury service , Industrial action etc

Teaching attendance You are required to reach a minimum 70% attendance. Signed register is proof of attendance. Study leave 60 sessions/30 days. Organised teaching will take up approx 30 sessions: 10 Group Work, 10 Topic Teaching and 10 ST3 Practice visits. 30 sessions for external courses and teaching. Study leave budget is top sliced for BGPERT membership (external education provider) and Folly Farm Induction. £287 per year. Application forms and expenses forms can be found on the GP website . It is KEY to be proactive, plan ahead, book time off early in the department!

Log Entries (RCGP – how to produce good L.L entries) Reflection PDP (SMART) WPBA Mandatory assessments (COTs, CBDs, PSQ, MSF) ST1s and ST2s, should have completed at least 3 COTs/Mini CEXs and 3 CBDs in each of the previous 6 month periods (but 6 of each during ST3). Need PSQ if in a GP placement, and a MSF if during ST1. DOPS - caution! Practice makes perfect...(log on)
