Genesis: Henry Kravis believed that universities should provide support to students with a strong professional interest in entrepreneurship. The Kravis Concept Plan competition was created with the stated goal of providing a small amount of seed money to assist those students who demonstrated a real promise as entrepreneurs. Funding: In 1990 Mr. Kravis established an endowment fund at CGU with the expressed desire that a portion of the annual earnings of the fund be used as prize money for the concept plan competition. The prize money available each year is depends on the annual performance of the endowment fund. Kravis Concept plan competition| the drucker school of management

6 Kravis Concept Plan Competition The Concept Plan
Elements of the Concept Plan We do not expect you to be able to answer in great detail each topic included in the outline. We do expect you, however, to convince us that you have given serious thought how you might address each topic if you were to move forward from concept to implementation. For example, since this is a concept plan you are not expected to have completed a thorough market analysis. You should be able to explain how you would go about performing such an analysis. In terms of the financials, you must be able to demonstrate an ability to think through and construct your pro forma financial statements.
