2 What is Albinism? Albinism means that you don’t have as much pigment/colour as other people You can have Albinism in your hair, skin and eyes or just your eyes

3 What is Albinism? Lots of people with Albinism have Nystagmus (wobbly eyes)

4 What is Albinism? Lots of people with Albinism cannot see very well Some people with Albinism wear glasses or contact lenses to help them see a little better. Glasses can help with reading

5 What is Albinism? Albinism is something you are born with You cannot catch Albinism Animals and even plants can have Albinism too

6 What is Albinism? People with Albinism in their skin need to protect it from the sun On sunny days people with Albinism often wear long sleeves, hats and sun screen

9 Did you know? Skier Kelly Gallagher has Albinism She won a gold medal for the U.K. in the Paralympic Games in 2014

10 What is it like having albinism?
Elijah, age 5: “I like Albinism because it means I'm special and it's fun telling people I'm special. It's cool because loads of cool animals have albinism too!” Xenya, age 9: “I’m just like you but have bad eyesight! I have pale hair and eyes and can do what ever I want to, nothing stops you so nothing will stop me!“
