Dhirubhai Ambani started his entrepreneurial career by selling "bhajias" M.S. Oberoi was a quick learner In 1922 he got a job of front desk clerk at The Cecil Hotel at a salary of Rs 50 per month. In 1934, M.S. Oberoi acquired The Clarkes Hotel from his mentor, by mortgaging his wife's jewelry and all his assets when she was only fifteen years old. The next year after her marriage she became a mother. When she went to she decided to study the cosmetology course. Her beauty productsare very skin friendly and give a beautiful glowing look. She has not only been able to tap the markets of India, but made her presence felt in international market too TV-serial production at the age of 19. And soon she changed the face of Indian television industry and completely dominated it. Different combinations in each country – don’t all have same weighting or balance. Depends of what’s already in place Value they place on entrepreneurial culture versus innovation culture Most are also examining company law, barriers to entry (competition policy, insolvency/bankruptcy reform), opening one-stop shops, improving access to information and services through one-stop shops, removing regulatory barriers, etc. But some focus more on the tax system and venture capital funds to provide incentives; some focus more on the hard and soft side of incubation infrastructure – facilities, coaching, mentoring, networks, how-to web platforms, business planning skills; some focus more on long term entrepreneurial attitudes of the population. Lets have a quick look at some examples.
