2 The Kingdom The seventh trumpet sounded
Brings with it the promise from chapter 10 v 5 – 7 Great voices saying the Kingdoms (plural) of this world are become (already) the Kingdom (singular) of our God The divided earth will become one Kingdom in Christ Not ‘Kingdom now’ theology – the Church achieving the Christianisation of the world Love will grow cold As in the days of Noah Far from God, not nearer He is King and He takes the throne by conquest Pouring out His vengeance and wrath

3 The Kingdom He shall reign forever and ever – an everlasting Kingdome with no end Kingdom 562 times in The Bible Kingdom of God 69 times all in the New Testament Kingdom of Heaven 32 times all in Matthew’s Gospel (the Gospel of the King) Textus receptus indicates the ‘Kingdoms to Kingdom’ transition He is going to reign ‘FOREVER’ Not just a thousand years – the thousand year reign is not the end but a transitional phase Isaiah 9 v 6 & 7 – no end and The Lord will be zealous in bringing this about Psalm 93 v 1 & 2 – of old and from everlasting Psalm 145 v 10 – 13 – an everlasting kingdom Daniel 4 v 1 – 3 a wonderful and everlasting kingdom

4 The Kingdom The territory of the kingdom
Daniel 6 v 26 an indestructible kingdom Daniel 7 v 26 & 27 – A kingdom with everlasting dominion 2 Peter 1 v 11 – salvation is entering the everlasting kingdom of Christ The territory of the kingdom Psalm 47 v 7 & 8 – all the earth Psalm 103 v 19 – rules over all the earth Psalm 48 v 1 & 2 – from Israel and Jerusalem

5 The Exultation Revelation was referred to in the early Church as ‘The Worship Book’ The reaction of the 24 Elders Fall on their faces and worship Chapter 4 v 10 – it’s a common theme Chapter 5 v 8 – yet again Chapter 5 v 14 – and again Chapter 19 v 6 – 10 – he is worshipped for fulfilled proises and covenant

6 Thanksgiving We give the thanks Taken power and reigned
I Thessalonians 5 v Taken power and reigned Chapter 1 v 8 ‘Almighty’ is Jesus’ name for Himself Chapter 19 v 6 – omnipotent or Almighty Ephesians 5 v 18 – 20 – thanksgiving comes from being filled with The Spirit Hebrews 13 v 14 &15 – an exhortation to give thanks for what we have not yet seen Romans 8 v 28 – all works together for good

7 Why give thanks? Power proclaimed – our Dad really is bigger than his dad Nothing is too hard for Him – Jeremiah 32 v 27 Genesis 18 v 14 – said the same to Abraham Plan accomplished Thy wrath is come The dead judged Psalm 2 – Messianic psalm that speaks of God’s wrath poured out Verse 18 of Rev 11 – we thank Him because His wrath has come

8 Why give thanks? His promises to the believer are fulfilled
Reward to the Prophets and Saints – small and great All to receive a reward He requires us to be faithful in a few things or in the things He has given us Matt 25 v 21 and 23 1 Cor 2 v – eye has not seen etc. Ephesians 2 v 7 – kindness poured our forever Matt 10 v 29 – 31 – sacrifices repaid with interest

9 Why give thanks? For the punishment of the wicked
2 Thessalonians 1 v 7 & 8 the judgement of the wicked should comfort the righteous The temple in heaven is opened Ark of the covenant Symbolic of covenant promises answered Symbolic of God inhabiting (living in) the praises of His people Lightnings, thunderings, voices, earthquake and great hail Like ch 4 v 5, ch 8 v 5, ch16 v 18 – common symbolism Psalm 89 v 1 & 2, 8, 24 & 33
