Howdy y’all – With the Wylie Rodeo this weekend, we have designated this Friday, 9/9, as western day! We are asking that all students and teachers dress in western wear, or Akin shirts or WEHS colors.

Popsicles on the Playground
Anyone who is wanting to be a volunteer this year or go on field trips, must complete the background form online AND have a confidentiality training session with Ms. Boslow. This is a very short training (lasts about 8-10 minutes), and I can complete these every Friday after Frog Fest.
Also, if anyone is wanting to be a mentor with Akin Elementary students, please let Ms. Boslow know so that you can fill out the registration sheet. There are also sign-up sheets in the office.
You will meet with grade level teachers in the Library while your child cools off with a treat on the Akin playground!
September 8th, K-2nd grades:
2nd Grade: 5:30
Kindergarten: 6:00
1st Grade: 6:30
September 13th, 3rd & 4th grades:
3rd Grade: 5:30
4th Grade: 6:00
*All sessions will last approx. 30 minutes
