Output Wattage Power Test
All you need is a microwave safe bowl of low mass, a thermometer, and knowledge of the microwave oven’s output wattage rating STEP 1: 1000ml of water approximately 65 F degrees Stir water for 10 seconds and record temperature STEP 2: Heat water for 33 seconds Power Out = Cooking Wattage Bowl Part #
2
Output Wattage Power Test
STEP 3: Remove water from oven and stir for 10 seconds STEP 4: Record temperature STEP 5: Subtract first temperature from second temperature to determine temperature rise Example: 77 F – 65 F = 12 F degree rise
3
Output Wattage Power Test
Each degree F of temperature rise = 100 output watts 12 degree F temperature rise = 1200 watts output 6.5 degree C temperature rise = 1200 watts output NOTE: This is a service test only. This is not an IEC 705 power output test which requires sophisticated lab equipment and a very controlled environment
