6 Manufacturing enhancement package
IFS Presentation Manufacturing enhancement package Manufacturing excellence Various functional enhancements, primarily in planning and general shop order area PLANNING SHOP ORDER Master Scheduling Build up of Inventory Forecast consumption Save of original forecast MRP Run with selections Time phased safety stock CRP Integrated in MS/MRP/PMRP Shop Orders Status Parked Enhanced reserve and backflush Consolidated pick list Routings & Operations Lot size based routings Overlapping operations Employee competency for Manfacturing operations © 2013 IFS March 31, 2017 © 2009 IFS

7 Planning enhancements
Master Scheduling Build up of Inventory Forecast consumption Save of original forecast MRP Run with selections Time phased safety stock CRP Integrated in MS/MRP/PMRP Planning enhancements Master Scheduling Build up of Inventory MS level 1 proposals based on rate and user defined periods Forecast records allowed on non working days Forecast Consumption Forecast consumption both backward and forward within a reasonable time span to avoid initiation of new supplies. Improved control roll out of unconsumed forecast outside demand time fence Save of Original Forecast To compare original plan with live version of the master schedule. Implemented for both level 0 and level 1. © 2013 IFS

8 Planning enhancements
Master Scheduling Build up of Inventory Forecast consumption Save of original forecast MRP Run with selections Time phased safety stock CRP Integrated in MS/MRP/PMRP Planning enhancements MRp and CRP Run MRP with selections Run MRP for selected inventory parts and their components. Supplies will be generated for demands of those selected parts. Demand changes since last MRP run can be quickly evaluated. Time Phased Safety Stock Time phased safety stock in MS/MRP in order to support increase/decrease of safety stock during periods when customer demands are very variable/stable Their supply process is expected to show more unreliability/reliability CRP – Integrated in MS/MRP/PMRP Provides planners with better support regarding capacity, actual start, finish dates etc. © 2013 IFS

9 Shop order enhancements
Shop Orders Status Parked Enhanced reserve and backflush Consolidated pick list Routings & Operations Lot size based routings Overlapping operations Employee competency for Manfacturing operations Shop order enhancements Shop order Enhanced Reserve and Backflush Control over automatic reserve and backflush of material. Avoid unexpected material shortages in locations. Function for visualize of reserve and backflush Consolidated Pick List Select a number of shop orders sorted out of for example time range, warehouse, department, work center, selected shop orders and get one pick list created. Shop Order Parking Park reason with clarifications for supply, demand, load etc Support for update of revisions/alternatives of routings and structures Shop order history © 2013 IFS

10 Shop order enhancements
Shop Orders Status Parked Enhanced reserve and backflush Consolidated pick list Routings & Operations Lot size based routings Overlapping operations Employee competency for Manfacturing operations Shop order enhancements Routings and Operations Overlapping Operations Operation overlap also when infinite scheduling. Lot Size based Routings If quantity of demand fluctuate, there can be different shop floor alternatives regarding how to produce the part. Minimize production cost per unit of manufactured part via different routing depending on order size. Employee competency for Manufacturing Operations Verify that employees with right competency report setup and/or run. The employee demand graph used as an input to employee planning based on competencies Assign employee to operations © 2013 IFS
