2. Purpose of organization
Ducks Unlimited conserves, restores and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl. These habitats also benefit other wildlife and people.

3. History of Ducks Unlimited
Founded in 1937 by Joseph Knapp
By 1947 DU had 25,215 members
(357) wetland projects finished
1960’s 658 new projects started conserving almost 1,000,000 acres in prime habitat
1970’s DU raises over 8 million dollars to go towards conservation of waterfowl
1980’s DU reserves 60 million acres to go towards conservation
1990’s Over 600 million dollars are raised to go towards conservation.
Present ~ Over 6 million people become members of DU

4. What type of projects are done
Building wetlands and restoring natural wetlands, to make more habitat for all waterfowl.

5. Cost to Become a member There are four classes of yearly membership
Adult Membership ~ $25
Bronze Membership ~ $250
Silver membership ~ $500
Gold membership ~$1000
* All memberships include an annual banquet and a year subscription to DU magazine plus decals for your truck and other gifts as well.
