Provides the user with a list of website links of webpages that contain information about the keywords typed into the search criteria. Advanced Search Words such as: OR, AND, NOT are called BOOLEAN terms Using those words in an Internet search to limit the search parameters is called a BOOLEAN search Note: Modern search engines are not as dependent on BOOLEAN terms anymore. 11 The URL The Shift to HTTPS
While HTTPS is essentially the same concept as HTTP, the “S” harbors one big difference between the two: security. HTTPS stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure, and instead of acting as its own application layer protocol, it uses separate protocols called SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and TLS (Transport Layer Security). © Copyright Texas Education Agency, 2012
