How should we treat our neighbors based on this commandment? Defend them, speak well of them, and explain everything in the kindest way. Read Prov. 11:13 on pg What does gossip do? Betrays confidence. Destroys friendship. Fuels conflict.

Matthew 26:47-50 What was Judas’ lie?
He lied to the chief priests. He lied to Jesus and the disciples. Judas gave false testimony against Jesus. We do, too. When we place another idol above God, we’re lying to ourselves that this idol is all that matters. That’s a huge, FAT, LIE!

Small Catechism (pgs. 89) What is the main difference between both commandments? The 9th Comm. deals with what your neighbor owns. The 10th Comm. deals with the people that help your neighbor: wife, servant, etc… What does God require of us in both of these commandments? Be content.
