3 Short Term Statistics, March 2016
A comprehensive test phase took place at the beginning of 2016, where the old and new software were running in parallel in order to ensure the stability and quality of the new seasonal adjustment process To minimise the impact of this change on the series (more than time series), the FAME database was modified to ensure that JDemetra+ was working in the Unix environment. Identifying the models and adjusting the series.

4 Short Term Statistics The new software does not affect the method used by Eurostat STS. Eurostat STS will continue using the geographically indirect approach of seasonal adjustment. The European aggregates calculated with the new software were available for users as of 1 March 2016 and will be disseminated progressively according to the release schedules for the different STS indicators.
