What do we do? Service Projects for the Stonewall Jackson Area Council, Camp Shenandoah, and the community Eat well Events

August Inductions – Start of OA season. Elections of new officers. Held at Camp Shenandoah LRLC (Lodge Retreat and Leadership Conference) – Lots of leadership courses, food, and fellowship One Day of Service – One day of service for a selected organization in the community. Winter Banquet – Annual awards banquet, where the lodge looks back on the year.

Events Continued Spring Fellowship – Prep for Conclave and do service for Camp CONCLAVE!!! – State-wide gathering of OA members. We always do a theme and have won the spirit award for the past decade. There is training and sporting events. June Inductions – Same as August Inductions, but in June.

Additional Opportunities OATC (OA Trail Crew) – Enables OA members to go to any Boy Scout High Adventure Camp for two weeks (one week of service, one week of a trek) at a greatly reduced price NOAC (National Order of the Arrow Conference) – Like Conclave, but on a national level. Held every three years.

Ceremonies, Dance, and Drum The Ceremonies Dance and Drum team are a big part of any OA lodge, they participate at activities like council and district camping trips. They also compete at NOAC and Conclave. Anyone interested is encouraged to join and be a part of the fun.

Requirements First Class 20 days and nights of camping, seven of which must be a long-term camping trip (summer camp) Approval from your Scoutmaster Approval from your peers
