Motion generates a pull signal (reddish), and accretion and deletion generate both push (blue) and pull (red) signals. Sometimes the accretion/deletion push signal overlaps with the motion pull signal, yielding a purplish color. The filling-in process resolves any ambiguities, as shown in Figure 11.
