What are managed lanes? Number of lane-miles in the United States TRB Committee AHB35 Meetings This Week Sessions This Week Managed lanes are designated lanes or roadways within highway rights-of-way where the flow of traffic is managed by restricting vehicle eligibility, limiting facility access, or in some cases collecting variably priced tolls. Here are the committee meetings from Monday through Wednesday. Volunteers and friends are encouraged to attend. TRB’s Technical Activities Division has over 200 standing committees that sponsor various sessions during the Annual Meeting. The AHB35 Standing Committee is charged with supporting practitioners and furthering research for managed lanes. The committee currently has 32 total members, consisting of a diverse set of individuals. The committee also has 3 subcommittees and 2 joint subcommittees with other TRB committees. Session 815: Are Managed Lanes a Great Place to Operate and Test Automated Vehicles? What are the Policy, Legal, and Operational Implications? 10:15 am – 12:00 pm Convention Center, Salon C Presentations and a discussion about testing automated vehicles on managed lanes.
