3. Community School
A teacher and DECE in every classroom
Each class is half Year One and half Year Two students with about 26 in total

4. How to prepare!
Make sure your child has a backpack big enough to hold their lunch bag, a water bottle, art work and a communication bag that is sent home daily
Send a pair of indoor shoes with your child that will stay at school and be worn inside (Velcro or slip on)
Also send a change of clothes to stay at school (pants, shirt, socks, underwear) Please write your child’s name on the clothing and put it in a bag

5. FDEL-Full Day Early Learning
8:30 a.m. - 2:50 p.m. daily
2 supervised E-Breaks
-a healthy, litterless lunch
(re useable containers)
In most classes, children are free to eat when they like. There is no set lunch or snack time as students are encouraged to eat when they are feeling hungry
Please dress your child for the weather! We go outside daily and in most kinds of weather and want your children to enjoy their time outside 

Focus on early reading, mathematics and learning through inquiry
Lots of new learning experiences
Physical Education
Music, Visual Arts, Drama, Dance
Technology
Lots of new friendships
Assemblies and Performances

We encourage families to BE INVOLVED!
Look in the Communication Bag every day!
Come visit the classroom and your children on Family Fridays and other special days!
Become a school volunteer! 
Read and talk with your child every day!
Make sure all your contact and health information is correct!

Family Care provides

if parents choose to enrol
their child in before and/or
after school programs, they
will pay a fee
